Electronics Forum | Fri May 18 04:05:39 EDT 2007 | bartlozie

I'm looking for a SMT prototype & small series assembly machine, needs to be very accurate, no need for high speed. For assembly batch size 1 to 50 pcb's. The machine needs to be accurate and flexible, able to place chips 0402 up to BGA components.

New SMT Equipment

Hi. I specialise in Samsung equipment and offer reconditioned systems with good warranty. I've also spent some time studying the SOny systems and have been to the SOny centre in Germany. Machines are reliable and fast but flexibility is a major down

New SMT Placement Machine - Hanwa,Juki,or Mycronics?

Electronics Forum | Mon Aug 01 13:14:49 EDT 2022 | emeto

I had Juki and Mycronic through the years in IL. Both had descent support and service. They are similar platforms by idea. Juki had smaller footprint and it was a very quiet machine. Mycronis is unbeaten in flexibility and changeover - great concepts

AOI - Algorithms or Comparators

I have programmed one of each. The rules-based machine is about 6 years older than the model-based system, so It's probably not a fair comparison, but I prefer the model-based system by far. The model-based machine gives you a lot more flexibility an

Standard kit in LVHM environment

I know, it can be done and I participated in many acceptance tests, in which we counted even the milliseconds. However, my vision had a bit shifted, since the time the Motorolas and Flextronics dumped all these high volume machines to the market. I

Mycronic vs. Juki: Your Opinions?

Electronics Forum | Thu Apr 20 22:08:07 EDT 2023 | saucyshawn

Mycronic is very expensive. But it does have a lot of good options and feeder count. JUKI I have always found to be limited to number of feeders and flexibility of individual machines. If you are upgrading from MannCorp there may be better options

Adhesive Printing

Faster production rate, but less flexible. If your dispensor is running almost as fast as your placement machine, don't change. [Eli Goldratt would be proud.] Search the fine SMTnet Archives to get started.

MYDATA offers the best support in the industry. I have two MYDATA machines, TP-11 Hydra and TP-9. They are very flexible, reliable, easy to program and low maintenance. Joe Carley

IFR 4200 AOI system....does anyone know of it?

Electronics Forum | Fri Oct 22 01:39:09 EDT 1999 | Joe

Hello, I would like to ask if anyone can tell me about the AOI systems from IFR. It's quite new to the market and there are not too many out there. I have seen the system and think it is a very effective machine with lots of flexibility and easy to

Re: Product Segmentation in Pick Place Machines?

| Okay guys (and my fellow lady lurkers), I am trying to determine WHAT the segmentation is for the products in the pick and place industry. | | For example, I know in screen/stencil printing, there are manuals, there are semi-automatics, mid- and h
